Turn your truck bed into a bike rack in seconds with the Swagman Pick-Up. This 2-bike, fork-mount rack snaps into place without tools and has an integrated push-button lock for security. Telescoping arm adjusts to fit most compact and full-size beds.

Note: This bike rack will not work on trucks with tonneau covers.
The Swagman Pick-Up two-bike carrier is a quick and easy way to turn your truck bed into a bike rack. The Pick-Up installs between your truck-bed rails without tools.
To install the rack, simply push the spring button in the center of the main bar near the lock. This allows the rack to open (or pivot).
Press the spring-loaded lever to release the telescoping arm. Ensure that both rubber end pads are making solid contact with your truck-bed side rails.
Press down on the center of the rack to snap it into place. Press the lock button to secure the bike rack to your truck. Keys for unlocking and removing the rack are included.
You can mount two bicycles to the rack using fork-mount blocks. These blocks include 9-mm, quick-release skewers that anchor your bikes to the rack. The fork blocks can be repositioned along the main bar to ensure that your bikes are spaced properly.
For extra security, use a padlock (sold separately) with a 3/16" diameter shackle to lock the lever of the telescoping arm. To lock the bikes to the rack, you can use a cable lock (sold separately).

Easy to install. High quality.
Works exactly as described, less than five minutes to install including unpackaging
Product is great, easy to install, and easy to store away.
Highly recommended for others to buy.
Great purchase on my part.
For the price this thing cannot be beat, very sturdy
Product is well made and the parts fit very well. Thanks for sending the rack early with no extra charge.
The Swagman Truck Bed Mounted Bike Carrier works great. The product installs and is removed quick and easily. It allows me and a friend to load our bikes and be off to the next biking event in no time.
Not sure if i did a review but just in case i didn't, here is what i think. It can't be any simpler, took all of 5-6 min to open container and installing the rack. Way to go guys. Kudos to whom ever that came up with this configuration, awesome!!
Excellent product! Works very well for two bikes. Easy install! I have a 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab with a sprayed in Rhino Liner. Received expedited shipping from etrailer and my product was here the very next day!!! EXCELLENT!!!
Super easy assembly just four bolts. Works great fits snugly on my Nissan Titan with factory bed liner (without extra bolts!). Very prompt order and shipping. I will use etrailer again.
This bike holder is exactly what it says it is. I will get a lot of use out of this. Easy to install, easy instructions, I highly recommend this.
The people at etrailer got me this bike holder very quick. I ordered it on a Saturday, and got an e-mail letting me know that they went ahead and shipped it on Saturday so I could get it faster. They kept me constantly informed and checked with me to make sure I liked it and was satisfied.
The rack fits my Tundra 2006, however it has some play right where the locking pin is located, producing a vibration and noise when in transportation. Overall is a reasonable product for the money.
I have a 2010 Ford F250.. This rack fit right in the bed and locked down nice and tight.. It was easy to install and took about 10 minutes to set up.. It is lockable and the price was great..
If anyone is looking for a truck bed bike rack, this rack is perfect.
I love this truck bed bike rack. It was so easy to set up to install and carry 2 bikes. Once set up it is easy to set between the truck bed rails. It is solid and it locks well. We used it to take bikes to Yosemite. Just great. Very excellent materials, strength for the price.
Just received our Truck Bed Bike Rack today, it is exactly what we were looking for. It installed easily and quickly which for us is a very good thing. Fast shipping too. Thank You....Best Regards, Dianna and Larry
I used 2 inch square tubing cut the length of the tie down support bracket in my 2007 Honda Ridgeline and secured with a stainless bolt and wing nut, use a large enough washer to cover the diameter of the supply hole in the Honda Ridgeline bracket on the truck.
A couple of notes:
Be sure to use something as a cushioning gasket to insure a snug fit and to protect your truck lining. I used rubber or foam exercise mat cut to the same as the aluminum square tubing.
Use a washer that a combination of hard plastic and metal to avoid the corrosive effects of dissimilar metals in contact with each other.
last: My 26" full suspension bike fits, but I have swing it to one side slightly before i close the tailgate and lift the bike up and slide it down....It's a very snug fit but the suspension adds pressure to the tailgate and its works out very well. Or you could just use a tailgate extender.
It installs fairly easily and seems well made but it has a lock pin safety feature that doesn't lock. Nothing more frustrating than buying a product that doesn't do what it is supposed to do. I have sent a message to the manufacturer. Hopefully they can get it fixed.
Referring to special mounting instructions if you have a bed liner: (line #3). I do not have a bed liner, but I do have a molded plastic cap on my bed rails ('04 Ford F350). The first install over the plastic cap the locking pin or pin as called out in line #3 was nowhere near making contact with the metal lip of the metal bed under the plastic. What I did next on the second and final install was remove/cut away the plastic on the inside of the bed rail to allow the vertical portion of the "L" mounting bracket (Fig 4) to contact the metal bed. The locking pin is now at a position almost where it would protrude under the metal bed lip if I would remove the rest of the plastic under the horizontal portion of the "L" mounting bracket, I did not do that. After cutting a notch in the metal rail to accept the pin, the pin barely flushes out to secure the rack. A 1/4" longer pin would take care of this problem.
One other thing that was not addressed in the install instructions was if you have a full size pick-up bed you are likely to attach the passenger side fork mount (Fig 2) to the right of the extension tube locking mechanism. The extension tube is a smaller diameter, so you will have resize the fork tube clamp (Fig 1) for the smaller tube. I can't explain how to do it other than it's a Chinese puzzle.

Im very pleased with the rack. I have not had any problems with it at all. Its worth every penny!
I bought this bike rack because I didn't want to have to remove my bed cover every time I wanted to take our bikes on a trip. This rack works perfect because I can roll up my cover and this thing just clamps across the bed. Taking the front tire on and off is kind of time consuming but when I travel with my brother who has a hitch mount rack, it takes him just as long to unload his bike as it takes me to unload. The wheel mounts tighten easily and the bikes appear secure during long drives, so I don't worry about them coming loose. Of course, you'll want to wrap a bike chain around the bike and rack if you plan to leave them out to make sure no one can steal the bike (although it would be missing a wheel)
Used this bike rack for the first time this past weekend and it worked perfectly. I drove down a fairly bumpy dirt road and it held true to the truck bed and held the bikes steady. etrailer had a great price and shipped it quickly. I would highly recommend it rather than spending more than twice as much for a similar rack. I didn't expect to find a bike rack like this for this price. Assembly, installation and operation are all very easy.

Happy to hear the bed rack arrived so quickly to you, Stephen! What kind of bike(s) are you going to be carrying with it?
This rack is very sturdy and locks tight to my F150. After it was installed it was impossible for me to pull out.
It worked well, but not without doing some "tweaking". When set down on the bed rails the locking pin would not line up with the hole in the bar so it took some filing on the hole to get it to work. Also the axle mounts would not set flat on the mounting pads so that also took some work with a file to get them to mount flat. Once I got all of that done it works fine.

Once I made the minor repairs mentioned in my original review, it has worked great. Note,I have an older road bike that has a slotted fork for the axle. Im not sure if it works with disk brake bikes that have a through axel
After one year of using our swagman, we are very happy. We own RAM 1500 with ram boxes and mounted the swagman at the back end of the bed. We mounted the skewers on the bottom side of the bar, to mount the bar upside down. This let the end brackets mount perfectly on the side walls just in front of the end gate. Our bikes when mounted face the rear. Works great!
Great construction, solid build. It uses a pressure fit system to hold the rack in position, so it can be used on multiple trucks if necessary (not a permanent fixture in your truck bed). Replaced one I had for 14years (held together with duct tape at its end). Only assembly was attaching the fork mounts to the brackets on the main bar. Here's where they could make it better: The left/driver side fork mount slides along a smaller sized square tube than the right side, but uses bolts that are too long so they thread through the bracket and hit the bottom of the fork mounting plate (a quarter-inch shorter bolt would be perfect, and I was too lazy to go hardware shopping). I simply positioned the left side bracket where I wanted it, tightened down the bolts and then tightened down the fork mount on top (notice the photo of the left side mount). I also have a bedliner, and the kit comes with a couple bolts and nuts to hold the rack from slipping on the sides of the liner. They recommend drilling a hole into the bedliner and the inside of the truck bed to install the bolts. I had a couple thick sheet metal screws and used a power drill to fasten it all together, but actually the rack was not slipping at all on my liner. The lock mechanism is clever, with a push button to lock it. So, easy on easy off. I don't plan on removing the rack a lot, maybe never, but with my bedliner screws installed it would be very time consuming if a thief wanted the rack. I also would not leave bikes locked to the rack unattended for very long, it is not intended for that kind of security.
The Swagman truck bed bike carrier is a very high quality product. Very strong and will not scratch or damage your truck bed. Bikes are very secure during travel. I unlock it and fits easily behind front seat when I'm at my destination to ride. Great product and much lower cost than hitch mounted carriers.

Thanks for the photos and review. I was concerned it wouldnt work easily enough in my Ridgeline, since it wasnt in the compatibility list. So it sounds like only one bike will fit in the bed with this rig, huh? Thanks again.Andy
