I am sorry that your experience wasn't great. I would recommend using a rustoleum type of paint to cover the chipping, so that you do not have any issues with corrosion. I have a link attached for your reference. I see in the instructions that the cross member may require some trimming. Are you referring to that when you mentioned the bumper needing heavy modification? Also, I assumed that you had received all of the hardware, but just to make sure, was all of the loose hardware there? Or did you need to make trips to replace any hardware?
