Question:
I am having issues finding the right product to flat tow my vehicle behind my motor home. I have a 2003 Ford Excursion with a 6inch lift which is equivalent to a 4in lift on a F-250. I already have a driveline disconnect for my vehicle. Any information you could give me would be a great help. Thank you so much and have a great day.

I am happy to help you with a complete flat tow setup for your raised 2003 Ford Excursion. You will want to start with base plates Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Fixed Arms # BX2163. I suggest installing your base plates using Loctite Threadlocker # LT37420.
For a tow bar, I recommend the Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 10,000 lbs # BX7420. You may also want a locking hitch pin like # e98882.
For your vehicle wiring, I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This will utilize your vehicle's factory wiring and yet protect it at the same time. It will also give you a nice clean connection at the front of your vehicle.
For you supplemental braking system, I recommend the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # SM99251. This will give you an easy to maintain system that only requires adjustment at installation. There is no further adjusting needed and everything stays hidden and out of the way making this a simple plug and play component.
The last thing you will need to complete your setup is a high low adapter. I've attached an article to assist you in finding the correct adapter for your application. I've also linked the page to our adapters for your convenience. This will be important for your lifted Excursion.
