Will this work on a 1999 f250 super duty with manual transmission

The first thing you are going to need to flat tow your 1999 ford F-250 Super Duty are base plates. The Blue Ox base plates that fit your truck are # BX2163. Since these are a different brand than the tow bar you were looking at they will not work together. I recommend Blue Ox tow bar # BX7380.

The tow bar comes with safety cables so you will not need to add any.

For lighting a simple magnetic kit such as # RM-2120 will set up fast and easy and you will not have to splice into the truck wiring.

And finally, most states now require supplemental braking on the vehicle being flat towed. One of the easiest systems to set up and use is the Even Brake proportional system # RM-9400. It will apply the truck brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the easiest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.
