To flat tow your 2022 Chevrolet Equinox LS, you will need a base plate kit installed on your Equinox and a tow bar to connect it to your RV. Safety cables are a needed item in case the tow bar fails. And a wiring solution to synchronize your RV’s lights to the 2022 Chevrolet Equinox along with a supplemental braking system to synchronize your RV and towed vehicle's brakes.

Once the selected base plate is installed and the tow bar attached to your RV it needs to be +/- 3" of being level or you will most likely have excessive wear on you tires and steering components. I've provided a link to our selection of high/low adapters along with a help article on must have flat towing components. Below is my recommended set-up for your 2022 Chevrolet Equinox LS:

- Base Plates, Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit, # RM-523193-5. This fits all trim levels WITHOUT lower active grill shutters.

- Tow Bar, Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar, # RM-676. This has a large hookup radius and hassle-free latches make it easy to connect and release. It also includes the needed safety cables and some wiring so that is not an additional purchase.

- Wiring, If you have LED tail lights, use Roadmaster Universal Wiring Kit with Smart Diodes for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights, # RO44FR. OR
- Wiring Kit - If you have incandescent Tail Lights: Roadmaster Universal Wiring Kit with Smart Diodes for Variable Voltage Incandescent Tail Lights, # RO94FR. With either option you will also need the RoadMaster 6-Wire Trailer Connector - Vehicle End

- Supplemental Braking System, I suggest the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System, # RM-8700 along with the Roadmaster Universal Stop Light Switch Kit, # RM-751000.

I also suggest you install the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25. If your motorhome does not already have a charge line to the back, you can install the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Motorhomes # RM-156-75.
