If you want your front end to stay clean and uncluttered when you’re not towing, this base plate keeps everything out of sight. The hidden design leaves no bulky brackets or hardware showing, and the removable arms twist off in seconds. When the arms are out, plug in the included receiver covers to keep dirt and debris out of the sockets for a finished look.
Attaching or removing the arms is simple and quick. Just insert each arm into the receiver, rotate it until it locks, and secure it with the pin. When you’re done towing, pull the pin, twist, and remove the arms. It’s a hassle-free setup that makes connecting and disconnecting in your driveway or at a campsite straightforward every time.
This base plate bolts directly to the chassis with no welding required. Its sturdy steel build spreads towing forces evenly across the frame to help prevent stress on your suspension. The powder-coated finish resists rust and corrosion, so it stays solid through years of road use.
You can use this base plate with multiple tow bar systems. It pairs directly with Blue Ox tow bars for a secure connection and can also work with Roadmaster or Demco tow bars when used with their respective adapters (sold separately). Integrated mounting points make it easy to attach an electrical connector bracket up front so wiring stays neat and organized.
Everything bolts on securely using the included mounting hardware—no welding needed. The distance between brackets is 32-1/2" with a bracket height of 18", so you can plan your setup precisely. Once in place, it’s ready to handle long-distance towing without compromising your vehicle’s front-end appearance or integrity.

The item Blue OX base was sent very quick and and would use Etriailer for my next for towing item.
I have used etrailer for parts many times. The knowledge of the salesperson,Kim, was right on point for my parts request. She was able to find the parts in stock and immediately ship them. The parts I requested I was not able to find without a long lead time by the truck outfitters i tried. I received the parts a day sooner than expected. Works great, instructions clear with photos...available online as well in color, we downloaded them to the iPhone and followed along. Disassembly of the grill and bumper is required but not hard at all.

The base plate installation was easy to install after getting everything removed that is necessary to get the existing tow hooks removed. I had a similar base plate on a 2008 Silverado that I had also installed so was almost the same. The photos in the Installation booklet could be a bit more clear. Had a hard time making out some of the details there so wnet to the Blue Ox website and opened the Instalation PDF there and photos were easier to see. Overall was what I was expecting and very satisfied
