Specs:
This adjustable ball mount has a maximum capacity of 22,000 lbs, making it ideal for heavy-duty towing. The solid steel construction is strong enough to handle large trailers and heavy cargo, and the matte powder coat finish will protect the ball mount from rust and corrosion, even after repeated use. The BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount gives you the strength you need to tow your big loads. And its durable, long-lasting construction can stand the test of time.
Because of its sturdy steel construction, this BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount can handle loads up to 22,000 lbs, making it perfect for heavy-duty towing jobs.
The adjustable channel is made of 5/16" thick, laser-cut steel plates. These steel plates can handle high capacities without bending. And because of the laser cutting, the channel plates have consistently sized pin holes, so you can easily remove or reposition the hitch ball platform.
A 1/2" thick steel gusset is welded between the shank and the channel, bracing the mount and keeping the channel from bending, even at the maximum drop or rise.
The solid steel shank is CNC -chamfered, making it easy to slide the shank into and out of your hitch receiver. And with no sharp edges on the shank, the powder coating is less likely to chip and peel.
Each adjustable mount includes a 2-ball platform, which fits in the adjustable channel. The 2 hitch balls are welded onto the solid steel platform for maximum strength and stability.
Finally, the pins and clips included with the ball mount are made of heat-treated steel to withstand the heavy weight from your load. The nickel undercoat with zinc topcoat provides corrosion resistance and ensures the strength of the pin.
To set up this BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount, insert the 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" shank into your hitch's receiver. Slide the 2-ball platform into the adjustable channel, then use the included pins and clips to secure the platform at the height you need. If you need to switch hitch balls, just remove the pins and clips, flip the ball platform over, and reinsert the pins and clips to secure the balls in place. It's that easy.
Because of this mount's significant drop, it's recommended that you install a stabilizer kit (358stabilizerbars - sold separately) to prevent any wobbling and to remove strain from your hitch receiver.
This BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount is compatible with a wide variety of accessories (sold separately). Instead of using the included ball to tow, you can install a weight distribution shank (358WEIGHTDIST) in the channel of the mount to attach your weight distribution system. Add a clevis (358CLEVIS) or shackle attachment (358EDSA) for off-road or recovery operations. Or simply add a hitch step (358STEP) to easily access your truck bed.

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the BulletProof Hitches heavy-duty, adjustable two-ball mount for a 2 1/2 inch hitch with a drop and a rise, and has a 22,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, this two-ball mount will slide into your 2 1/2 inch hitch receiver and it'll let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. The hitch balls up here will provide the connection point for your trailer coupler. If you notice, it is a two-ball mount, so you got two different size hitch balls to choose from.
You have the larger 2 5/16 diameter or the smaller two-inch diameter. This will let you tow trailers with different coupler sizes. And to switch the ball to a different one, you can, it's pretty easy to do. You just remove these two pins right here. Pull out the clips, remove the pins, flip the ball platform to the ball size you need, reinsert the pins, put the clips in, and you're all ready to go.
Just to show you how we'd do that, go ahead and pull this clip and pull that clip. And we'll go ahead and pull out the bottom pin. Also, wanna mention these pins here, that gives you two of these 5/8 inch diameter, corrosion resistant, hardened steel pins. They do feature a nickel undercoat with an nice zinc-plated top coat for best corrosion resistance. Go ahead and take out the other one.
And then you can see the ball mount will be released. You just take it out, rotate it, go ahead and put it back in. And again, you have a range of height you wanna put it at. I'm just gonna put it back in the same where it was. Put our pin through up, down there, put it up here.
And then once you get it all clipped, clip the pins in to make sure they stay in there. And just like that, you're ready to use the smaller two-inch ball. So, it's pretty fast and easy to flip it to whatever ball size you need. Now, the adjustable design on this provides a nice drop or a rise, allows you to tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle. So, this will work well for contractors where they can install it on one truck and use that truck for different size trailers. Now, this is in the drop position. If you install this in your hitch receiver, this would be the drop position. Now, if you put this ball mount in the lowest position, it'll get you a maximum drop of about 15 1/4 inches. If you flip this over and put it in the rise position and then put the ball platform in the highest position, it would get you a maximum rise of about 15 inches. So, it does give you eight levels of adjustment. The measurement between adjustment holes, center to center is two inches. So basically, you can move this ball platform up or down to match your application. This is a heavy-duty steel construction. It is precision CNC milled and drilled. So, it gives you less rattle cause of the close tolerances. The channel right here, it's a 5/16 thick channel frame, which is very strong and durable. Back here, you can see this large, half-inch thick welded gusset plate. This'll brace the shank and the channel. And then the hitch balls are welded to the ball platform for extra sturdiness. So, because of the solid shank, the gusset plate, that solid dual-ball platform, this is built for heavy-duty towing. We mentioned that steel gusset, you can see it's welded between the shank and the channel. And it braces the mount, keeps the channel from bending even at maximum drop or rise. Total weight on this whole ball mount is about 56 pounds. Now, one measurement I do wanna give you cause this gusset in here, you might have to check your clearances. But the measurement from this gusset right here to the first hitch pin hole is about 3 1/2 inches. From the gusset to the second hitch pin hole is about five inches. Now, this ball mount does have many different dimensions. So, what I do recommend for you to do is go to the product page of this part number and we'll have a picture of this with all the dimensions on it, so you can verify any dimension that might be needed for your application. This part is made in the USA with USA steel. So, the product is also used by the US Military. So, it gives you peace of mind that the product uses quality materials. This hitch comes with a nice powder coat, textured, heavy-duty black finish. And this heavy-duty finish keeps your ball mount looking like new instead of all worn and rusty after a short time. Now, when you do install this into your hitch receiver, you do need a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock to secure it to the hitch receiver. Those items are not included. We do sell those separately on our website. Application, again, this fits a 2 1/2 inch by 2 1/2 inch trailer hitch receiver. This one with the large drop or rise is ideal for vehicles with 31 inch to 33 inch clearance from the ground to the bottom of the receiver tube. Gross towing weight capacity depends on the ball you use. If you use the smaller two inch ball, it's 12,000 pounds. You use the larger 2 5/16 diameter ball, it's 22,000 pounds. Tongue weight capacity will be 3,000 pounds. Last thing I wanna mention, there is a variety of channel mount attachments that are available for this ball mount to allow you to use this ball mount as a pintle hitch, shackle hitch, even a hitch step. All those parts are listed on this product page as related products. But that should do it for the review on the BulletProof Hitches heavy-duty, adjustable two-ball mount for 2 1/2 inch hitch with a drop and a rise, and a 22,000 pound gross towing weight capacity..
