This unique mount from Gen-Y Hitch includes a ball mount that can be easily positioned in one of the 5 stacked receivers that sits along the vertical shank of the unit. This dual-ball mount lets you tow a trailer with a 2" ball coupler or a 2-5/16" ball coupler.
Also included is a pintle lock, which can be inserted into the receiver directly above the ball mount to create a pintle hitch for hooking up a trailer with a lunette ring. Unlike other adjustable pintle hooks on the market, there are no nuts and bolts to remove and retorque when you change the positioning of this hitch. Just move the ball mount and pintle lock up or down to get the proper height and secure them in place with the included pins.
With the 5 stacked receivers, not only do you have the ability to adjust the height of the included ball mount, but you also have the ability to add various other hitch-mounted accessories.

The hitch is very heavy, so I won’t be taking it off and on much. I’ll leave the stacked receiver on the truck, I had a locking pin to secure it to the truck. I will store the 2-ball mount in the cab for now until I get some locking pins. Don’t want to become a victim of theft! When I obtain the locking pins, I will leave the balls attached. If you want a very stout adjustable hitch, I definitely recommend this Gen-Y hitch. Can’t wait to test it out on the road!

The Gen-Y hitch is a beast and should last forever. It weights approx 55 lbs. Haven’t had a chance to use it yet and I hope that it doesn’t rust like I have seen in some reviews on YouTube etc. My big disappointment is the fact that it does not take my 2 1/2” to 2” sleeve (the 2 ball mount is 2 1/2”) so I can use another hitch with it to move a small trailer that rides lower than this hitch goes. I even talked to someone at Gen-Y to verify that it would work. They said it would. IT DOES NOT. To much pain to send it back. I’m sure I would have to pay shipping.
Overall the hitch is heavy duty and solid. I have ready some reviews about the Pintle option and have used mine for the first time towing an empty trailer. It is showing some wear behind the ball where the wedge is welded. I will try it with a load and see how it holds up.
i hate to give a negative review but for the money it should not have that excessive amount of wear with it’s first use.
I have a curt hitch with the Pintle and it has worked perfectly. I was looking for something that had a better curb appeal with the Gen Y.

best hitch I've owned. I have no doubt it will pull any of our equipment with no problem. odelelia was a big help and so nice when I ordered it a year ago.
No doubt it's "mega duty". Thing weighs 54 lbs. I don't know if its worth the money but I'd say its probably the best hitch you could get!
This thing is robust! It has handled everything I've hooked to.
Heavy duty, strong and reliable. The black color on the ball scratched off fairly quickly, and the additional length of the hitch may keep some safety chains from reaching the vehicle. These are just things I noticed, but the quality of the hitch is tremendous.
Great Product. Performs as expected
WOW. That is pretty much the word that sums it up. WOW. Not only because it weighs roughly 60 pounds, but she is pretty to look at to boot. Aside from that - the construction on this thing in a monster. Overbuilt by Hercules to pull down a mountain kind of over built. Exactly how we expect anything truck related to be. You do not want failure at any point, ever. This takes your drop hitch to a whole new level. I have owned B&W and Bulletproof before - and while there is nothing wrong with them - I do not think I will ever use another brand again. This is as good as they come.
We love these hitches so much we’re replacing all we have in the fleet with the Gen-Y. Etrailer’s customer service is the reason we don’t shop anywhere else.
Very strong hitch
It's a great hitch. Fits our needs. Only negative thing I can say is the paint/coating rubbed off almost immediately after putting it to use so there's a rust ring around it where it meets the receiver.
Tow hitch is 100% expensive but towing my trailers has been so smooth it’s defiantly good quality and worth what you pay , defiantly recommend buying a $10-$20 lock so nobody steals it off your truck though!
Very versatile hitch. Very stout. High quality. You can hook to pretty much any trailer with it. Some slop when using it for pintle trailers. I wouldn’t recommend it if you are primarily going to be pulling Pintle trailers. Some side to side wobble when pulling a car dolly. That being said it is my favorite hitch I have used. It is very quick and easy to adjust for different height and ball size trailers
Great hitch, ball will loose the black paint. Need to apply lubricant before and after use for easy hitching.

Love this hitch! I made a few trips where I had to tow and this hitch is very stout. I never felt hesitant about the strength of this hitch. The adjustability is a great feature making it easy to get the right ball height. I now remove the hitch from my truck receiver when not needed. I definitely recommend this setup!
