Today we're going to be taking a look at the Rhino rack load stops for Rhino rack arrow bars, part number S602. These load stops are going to be great for securing down your cargo to your Rhino rack roof rack or another other roof rack that accepts channel accessories. As you can see here, we're using a ladder, but will work out great for lumber or any other elongated loads. They come in a pair, and they're five inches tall. They're constructed out of a glass reinforced nylon and they feature a limited lifetime warranty. Now that we've gone over the features, I'll go ahead and show you how easy this is to get installed. First thing we can do is go ahead and remove our end cap, and then we can remove our rubber stripping.
Ordinarily, you can trim your rubber strips to fit around your stops, but for demonstration purposes, we're just going to go ahead and leave those out. We'll slide it on like so, then we'll move on to the rest of our hardware. First thing we can take is our plastic plate here, and then our t-bolt. We're going to slide that underneath. Then we'll slide it into the channel here, all the way to our stop.
Then we'll take our flat washer and our lock nut and get that started. I've gone ahead and repeated the same process for the other side. Before we tighten them down, we can go ahead and load up some cargo. If you're going to be carrying the same item every time, like a ladder, then we only have to tighten down once. With the ladder in place, we can go ahead and butt our stopper up against it and tighten it down, and then repeat the same process for the other side. You will have to provide your own tool to tighten it down.
It's just a 10 millimeter socket. If you'd like to, for the foot crossbar, you could pick up some additional load stops, or you could do like we're doing and use the Rhino rack tie down I-nuts, part number S604. This is just going to provide us with a secure point to run some straps through. You'll of course want to be sure and secure your cargo down. We're just using some bungee cords.
You could pick up a twelve piece set with part number 9008600. That's going to complete our look at the Rhino rack load stops for Rhino rack arrow bars, part number S602.

Very good purchase.
Rhino-Rack Vortex 2500 with legs, pads and accessories. Arrived quickly. A 70 year old man assembled and installed in about an hour and a half on a humid 90 degree day. These products appear to be of excellent quality and seem to be more than adequate for carrying a 15 foot fiberglass canoe on our 2011 Buick Lacrosse. Rack offers good flexibility for adding accessories. The wife says the aero shape is way cool!
Pricey lil' stops, but need em.
I ordered these load stops primarily to use to help in the transportation of canoes on my truck. They are nicely made and for my use don't take up as much room on the bar as others that I have seen. They appear to be made of nylon which makes it easy to shorten the upright portion which I will need to do. But more importantly the customer service from this company was first rate. My first order was shipped and never arrived the USPS lost it somewhere in transit. I notified the seller and after waiting the required time for the USPS to maybe find the original order they reshipped another order. I requested that they use a different carrier than the USPS which they did and the second order arrived early.
May have been my error, but the legs shift slightly overtime and require re-adjustment. not as durable. Understandable, but still good to have for ladder security.
I think they will work fine. I also think they were too expensive. I believe they were over priced, because people do not know what other brands will fit, if any. I don't have much of a kayak, but I have one heck of a rack.
These cross stops are great with my Rhino rack. I use a pair on one side, and they make it easy to keep loads aligned and braced when tied down on my roof.
perfect fit for the ford flex, couldn't be happier!
looks like it will work great
