Video Transcript for Lippert Power Stance Electric Trailer Jack Auxiliary Power Cord Review

AJ: What's up, everybody. It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be checking out this auxiliary power cable for our Lippert Power Stance Power Jack. It's going to go on your A-frame trailer, and what it's going to allow you to do is you plug in the adapter here, at this port on the jack. And the other end, the seven pole, it goes into your truck. That way you can power your jack with your vehicle, which is going to help you out just in case you lose power for whatever reason, to the battery that this is already run to.

You have any issues like that. Maybe something gets caught underneath. Now, you don't have to just hand crank it up here. Because that's an option, but you don't want to do that all the time. I'd rather have this in the truck, that way you can go up and down, just as easy as you would if the power is connected.

Let's check it out.The cable itself spans about six feet. So you're going to have plenty of it to reach your truck and your jack. Another thing that I think is cool about it is, it's not just the cable with the seven pole. Actually came with the loom around it, so it's nice and protected, taped up. It's going to last and protect that wire, if it's exposed to the elements.

Now, where you go to plug this in, it's actually labeled right here, is pop this tab right there. Plug it in, right there up front. Then take your other end and go to the truck side. Now, it's ready to operate. Another interesting feature that the jack actually has, is a little house, the seven pole right in here.

So if you're not using it for a little bit, you parked your trailer, you can just put that up in there. You put your wiring aside, it holds it all nice and neat together. Now, if there's prolonged period of time, if you we're to leave it overnight, I would just go ahead and unplug it and keep this in your truck, keep it nice and safe. So that's the seven pole power cable that works with the Power Stance Jack. I think it's a handy addition to your Jack. Maybe you don't have a battery on your trailer, You have nothing to wire it to, or you have a bad battery or just in case, they have this. I think it's super helpful. That way you don't have to hand crank it. Like I said earlier, you don't want to have to do all that nonsense. You can just plug it in and go and get your trailer on your truck or off your truck. I think that does it. I hope this helps.

  • Why Would The Lippert Power Stance Work Off The Auxiliary Cord And Not The Coach Battery?
It sounds like you have one of two possible issues with the Lippert Power Stance Electric Trailer Jack # LC89VR. First there is a fuse on the power wire that is not present on the Auxiliary Power Cord # LC79VR. Be sure to check the fuse. The second issue to check is your ground connection. Since your trailer frame is painted as well as the jack the mounting brackets do not always make the best contact. The jack uses the frame as the ground circuit so you may need to grind off some of...

The Lippert Power Stance Electric Trailer Jack w/ 7-Way Plug - A-Frame - 18" Lift - 3,500 lbs # LC89VR comes with the auxiliary power wire for trailer 7-way power connection. However, the Lippert Power Stance Electric Trailer Jack with Footplate - A-Frame - 18" Lift - 3,500 lbs # LC69VR comes with the power wire for the trailer battery connection only. • Recommended Electric A-Frame Jack for Travel Trailer
It's a smart idea to go from a manual A-frame jack to an electric jack because it is so much easier, and there is a great option that will work for your travel trailer that makes using the jack super simple. The jack I recommend for you is the Lippert Power Stance Electric Trailer Jack with Footplate - A-Frame - 18" Lift - 3,500 lbs # LC69VR. Not only is this jack easy to use, allowing you to retract or extend with the flip of a switch, but you can power it via your truck's 7-way by adding...

  • Where Do You Connect The Power Wire Of A Lippert Electric Trailer Jack?
The power wire for your Lippert Electric jack should be run to a dedicated 12v battery in your trailer, but it sounds like you have it wired to the break away switch battery. I recommend unwiring it from the break away switch battery as if you drain the battery by using the jack while it is unhooked from the vehicle you could run into an issue of the break away switch not working properly in an emergency situation. If you jack is the Lippert Power Stance Electric Trailer Jack with Footplate...

  • Recommended Replacement Electric Tongue Jack for Airstream Land Yacht
The type jack you are needing for your 28 foot 1972 Airstream Land Yacht, if you wish to replace with a similar type jack, is referred to as an A-frame Trailer Jack. Yes clearance with most of these jacks won't be great. For a powered option, I suggest the Lippert Power Stance Electric Trailer Jack with Footplate - A-Frame - 18" Lift, # LC69VR. While this wires in to the 12V system on your camper, you can also get the Auxiliary Power Cord for Lippert Power Stance Electric Trailer Jack,...

  • Auxiliary Power Cord for an Electric Trailer Jack
The Auxiliary Power Cord # LC79VR is the only 7-way cord with the 2 wire (red wire/black wire) set-up that we have. We have other 7-way connectors like the # H20044, but they have all 7 wires for connecting a trailer. For the 2 wire set-up on a jack the # LC79VR is the only option that we have. You would just need to cut off the connector on the opposite end of the 7-way plug and connect it to your jacks wires using butt connectors like the Deka Butt Connector - 12-10 Gauge # DW05745-1.
