Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this remote for the Go Power MPPT solar charge controller. Now this is a fixed-mount remote that'll let you monitor and control your Go Power 60 amp MPPT solar controller from inside your RV. Now that solar controller, we do sell separately on our website. It is part number GP54FR. This part here will include everything shown on the table, comes with the remote LCD display, the surface-mount box to install it, with the mounting hardware, comes with a 25-foot-long ethernet cable and then a set of instructions that'll describe how this all goes together and how it operates.
Also, little thing I just want to show you on the surface mount box here. If you notice on each corner has these magnetic post here so that holds your LCD display in place in the box. So basically you just line it up, just like that, and then drop it down and you can see once it gets down in there, it holds it right into place securely, it won't come out. This is a back-lit digital display that'll monitor your charging current, the battery voltage, and the battery state of charge. And it allows you to input your battery type and choose a charging profile.
Also, this remote'll let you use maximum power boost technology, which means you can simply press a button down here to activate bulk mode for the highest charging voltage. And this will let you quickly top off your battery bank before the end of the day by capturing as much power as possible. We mentioned it comes with the 25-foot-long non-inverting ethernet cable to connect your remote to your solar controller. A few specs on this, the nominal system voltage is 12 volts or 24 volts. Last thing we're gonna do is just give you some dimensions on this whole display with the box.
So if we measure this way, it's gonna be right at 4 9/16. If we measure this way, also 4 9/16, and the total depth on it is right at 1 7/8 inches. And then just to remove it, all you need to do is have, you see the back has some holes in, you just have something, this screwdriver, just push on it and that'll release it. And then you can take it right out of the box. But that should do it for the review on this remote for the Go Power MPPT solar charge controller..

I ordered and got the controller remote but saw it only came with a 7 foot cable. It was going to be really tight related to the location of the solar controller. It actually came with a 25 foot cable! It makes total sense...since it's a remote...but the documentation and video should be updated for those who pay attention to stuff like this. Easy install...one wire connected to the 60 amp controller. Minimal documentation, but the downloaded controller manual filled in the blanks.
Did you exactly as advertised.
