Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this Pacbrake Alpha HD Rear Axle Air Bag Suspension Kit. Now this has been designed to fit your 1996 Chevrolet GM30 van and GMCG3500 van, and then your 1996 to current Chevrolet Express van and GMC Savannah Van, 2500 and 3500 models. Now on custom fit parts such as this kit, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer. Pop in the year, make, and model of your vehicle, answer any other questions that it might have for you, and our fit guide will confirm if this kit will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now, a couple of other things I wanna mention regarding fitment.
These are gonna be for your cargo and passenger vans only. They are for vehicles that are over 7,300 pounds gross vehicle weight rating. And these will not fit the cutaway chassis models, just so you're aware of that upfront as well. So this Pacbrake Alpha HD Air Spring Kit is designed specifically for your vehicle as we mentioned, so installation's gonna be straightforward and secure. These heavy-duty laser cut brackets are gonna bolt directly to existing factory-mounting points, which means there's no drilling required.
And the main purpose of these air springs is to provide up to 5,000 pounds of load-leveling support to your rear suspension. So if you tow a trailer, if you carry heavy cargo or you're frequently hauling heavy equipment, these air springs are going to help keep your vehicle sitting level by reducing rear-end sag. They're also going to improve overall ride quality by minimizing sway, bounce, and body roll, giving you more stability and control when you're under that heavy load. One of the biggest advantages is adjustability. You're gonna be able to set the air pressure anywhere from five to 100 PSI, depending on how much weight you're carrying, and then you're gonna be able to run lower when you're unloaded for a more comfortable ride and then increase the pressure when towing or hauling to maintain proper ride height and handling.
Out of the box, you're gonna be able to inflate the air springs manually using the included Schrader valves. If you'd like more convenience later, though, this system is fully compatible with onboard air compressor kits. That's going to allow you to adjust pressure from inside your vehicle without replacing the air springs. Now I didn't have room on my tabletop to show you everything that's gonna come in your kit. I did kind of loosely assemble these just to kinda give you an idea of what this is going to look like when it's mounted on your vehicle.
But this comes, as you can see there, with everything that you need for installation. You're gonna get the springs, you're gonna get the precision laser cut powder coat, steel brackets, grade 5-plated hardware, air lines, push connect fittings, inflation valves, and so everything that you see there as it's laid out, also instructions to guide you through the installation process. One important note to make is that these Air Springs help support and level your load up to 5,000 pounds, but they do not actually increase your vans weight, factory weight carrying or towing capacity. So you always wanna make sure that you're staying within the manufacturer's recommended weight limit. Another thing I wanna mention is if you do want help with installation, we do have you covered.
