Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the Number 10 Torflex two and five-eights inch lift kit for a single axle. Now, this lift kit will raise your trailer frame to provide two and five-eights additional inches, between the trailer frame and the axle. The kit will include the spacers, the mounting hardware for a single axle application. This is designed for use on trailers with a single Number 10 Torflex axle with a 2300 pound to 4000 pound capacity. Does include everything shown here, two of the number ten frame spacers, in the bag here, the hardware is 12 plain washers, eight locking hex nuts, eight hex screws, and a set of detailed instructions on how to install everything. And then I just want to give you the measurements of how much lift it's going to give you.

It's going to be right at two and five-eights inch. But that should do it for the review on the Number 10 Torflex two and five-eights inch lift kit for a single axle.

Installed this kit on a 2017 Airstream Sport 16. We boondock a lot and the ground clearance was a problem. The 3" lift was a perfect solution to even out the ride height and give extra clearance in the back. The instructions are clear and I was able to do the entire project alone in just over 2 hours. The metal spacer fits precisely on to top of the axle, no adjustments were needed. I used 2 jack stands, 2 floor jacks, and an air gun which is a must or it would take twice as long. One of the jacks was used to hold the axle and to lift it up after the spacer is fitted. The lift kit is very good quality (besides the paint) and I feel confident it will last. Easy with the right tools!

Been across the country and back, no handling issues whatsoever, can’t tell the difference from stock. It’s a keeper

Quick easy install. Took about 2 hours to do both sides. Having an impact wrench make it easier, but it can be done with hand tools. One photo shows the lift kit installed. And the second shows to wheels not tucked up in the wheel well. (sorry I have no before photo)

Customer service on this order was exceptional right from the start. Received the right product, in a quick timeline, (with free shipping!) to add a lift kit in our 2019 GeoPro Camper. Product install was super easy and did it right in my driveway. Will definitely do business here again!!!!

I installed the K71-707-01 lift on a 2017 Airstream Basecamp. It took a little over an hour with help from a friend. The minimal paint chipping on the lift blocks was easily remedied with black spray paint in 30 seconds. Hardly something to worry about. The key to install is having a short socket for the bolts as little room exists between brake drums and other parts of the assembly. A pair of vice grip pliers is also very helpful in holding the opposing side of the bolt from spinning while tightening/torking the nut in place. Lastly, be sure that you have two wooden blocks to set the loosened axel on after detaching. If you set the blocks 3” below the axel while jacked off the ground, the lift blocks slide in place perfectly. Super easy and inexpensive modifications.

Added the lift kit to my 2012 Aliner Expedition. Everything fit well and the lift kit instructions were good. The hardest part for me was breaking loose the old nuts. My impact wrench got most of them but I had to use a breaker bar with a pipe for 2 of the stubborn ones. I was able to do the installation with out removing the wheels which I think made it easier. Taking my time the job took me about 4 hours including, getting bigger wrenches, removing rust and spray painting the old brackets.

Bought these to get a bit more clearance for boon docking camping. We also changed from 14" wheels to 15" wheels. It took about a half hour to install these lifts. They've done exactly what we wanted.

Kit was just what I needed. Was able to install it myself, the only difficult part was getting the trailer completely off the ground and placing solid jack stands. Otherwise super easy install with regular tools. Gained about 2 1/2 inches on clearance.

Have a dexter#10 on my 16’ Casita deluxe model. Fit just as it should, paint on brackets was already chipped but..who really cares. Not a chance they’re powder coated, looks like spray paint. Highly recommend backing whatever trailer you’re putting these on, up onto wood blocks or bricks to achieve the height of the lift first, that way you only need to lift the trailer high enough to get the blocks out and you’re ready to install. Also I used a square underneath the trailer to mark alignment points for after the lift was installed to insure the axle was indeed aligned with the trailer. This lift kit was cheaper than an 8” drop hitch for my truck, highly recommend it!!

This kit was extremely easy to install. Great color directions came with it. On our 2019 E-Pro 19BH travel trailer it was as simple as remove 4 factory bolts (2 per side), lower the axle a bit, place lift block, & install 4 new bolts per side. With this kit, new wheels, & tires we were able to gain 4 inches of lift for our camper. Our waste holding tank drain pipe & valves were so close to the ground & we constantly would drag pulling into or out of areas. This gives us great peace of mind & our camper looks amazing to us now.

- K71-707-01
by:

The hardest part was getting it up on jack stands. I also upsized the wheels and tires. Factory was 13" wheels, I upgraded to 15"x5x4 1/4", with 205/75/R-15(D). I gained close to 12" of ground clearance. Don't forget to buy 3 wheels and tires, so yo have a proper spare. Also recommend getting a 21mm open wrench to use with a impact wrench.

4 stars for packaging and finish from Dexter. As others have mentioned, the spacers are loose in a box and arrived with chunks of missing paint down to bare metal. I know its going under a trailer-but the trailer is brand new. Dexter should take more care. E trailer is amazing-5 stars all around. They uploaded a video in response to a question regarding wheels and tires for my lift!

179SE riverside Retro: Simple installation and good quality. Arrived in good time and took an afternoon to install by myself. Lifted the trailer up as I go a lot of places off road. Takes away a bit from the retro look as the old trailers were pretty low to the ground but the benefit of ground clearance makes up for that. Strongly suggest this if you go off road as it brings sewer drain up which is the low point of the trailer.

Lift kit was used on Jayco X17Z Camper, as I wanted to do more rural camping and gain better ground clearance, as this camper is very low in the first place. Product was great and everything fitted nicely with no issues, see pictures. The only issue I had was with the nuts and bolts, they were quite tight on the threads, certainly won't come undone.

- K71-707-01
by:

Did the job for me. With the trailer raised by approx 2 1/2" I no longer catch the rear stabilizer jacks when backing up a steep incline into the rear of my yard. Decided not to install it myself, but local tire shop did the installation for $100. Would certainly recommend this lift kit if you need to raise your trailer for any reason.

Worked just as they said it would. Only took a few hours with hand tools. If I were doing this more than once I'd have an impact wrench instead of a ratchet. So far I have never had a bad experience with etrailer. Ordered on phone Wed, received it on Friday. What more could I ask. The trailer axle had been replaced by previous owner and the tire rubbed the fender. etrailer walked me through on who to contact and determine which Dexter spacer I needed. Great sales reps and thanks Paula

Package arrived quickly and tracking communication was great. The install took a couple of hours and was easy due to the great instructions. I will agree with another review in saying you better have some upper body strength if you are using a torque wrench. 130-150 ft lbs takes some effort. The parts fit perfect and gave me the lift I needed.

super easy install, perfect fit. I was done in less than an hour. added a bunch of ground clearance to my first generation R Pod. I plan on adding some bigger tires to get a little more, but this kit was simple and did the job.

Installed in my 2018 Airstream Bambi. Removal of existing bolts took some effort. HIGHLY recommend an impact gun. Installation was easy, although the instructions / photos were not exact for the Airstream. The bolts need to be installed opposite of what the photo on the instructions show. Install was straight forward once I figured that out. Definitely need a torque wrench, and two people make the tensioning of the bolts a bit easier. Really like the completed look and height.

Perfect fit for my Aliner Ranger 12, no need to file or grind. All high quality hardware. Make sure you have a nice 1/2 inch driver torque wrench to tighten everything to spec.

Haven't installed yet, but I'm not worried about that part. Dexter axle packaging is insufficient so the spacers, which are painted black, arrive badly scuffed from banging/rubbing together in shipping. It's not a visible part so I don't really care, but why bother painting it if the packaging won't protect the finish?

Good quality part and bolts. Didn't fit my Livin Lite Jeep trailer. They are 1/4 inch too wide. Going to cut them down and install. Looks like all the dexter lifts are the same width. Livin Lite used a narrow axle with 1 3/4 wheel spacer so the pivot on the axle is right agains the frame. That is a Livin Light issue not Torflex. Took off one star for the paint. As others noted it is comically thin. The cavity where the bolts rested in shipping chipped away all the paint and they were in a plastic bag. You could build this yourself from 2" tubing. You would need to go source all the bolts, but wouldn't be that hard. Going to keep it and cut it down as noted above since it saves me time at this point. This would have been a 15 minute install had my trailer had a wider perch.

Great product for lifting our R-Pod just a bit to improve ground clearance. Seemed to actually improve handling just a bit, but then that is up to the individual tow vehicle/hitch/trailer setup. Product installed just fine except for the XTRA tight torque required--need a big torque wrench or a lot of muscle! Thanks, e-trailer, for your great service!
