The greaseless AlumiBall is a solid aluminum hitch ball topped with a nylon cap. The cap enables the trailer coupler to rotate easily around the ball. This prevents the coupler from getting stuck during turns and makes the towing experience smoother. The Alumiball does not require the use of lubricants, helping you to avoid greasy messes. Nylon cap is replaceable.

Today we are going to review Part Number AM3453. This is the Anderson Rapid Hitch Grease-less Single Two Inch Aluma Ball with an 8000 lb. weight capacity. This is a convenient replacement for the Rapid Hitch Interchangeable Ball Combo. This is a two inch diameter, grease-less hitch ball. Has a grease-less not composite nylon cap which snaps into place, allows for easy rotation between the hitch ball and the coupler when you are towing. It also eliminates the need to lubricate the tow ball and the trailer coupler.
The base of it is a lightweight, rust resistant aluminum alloy construction. They do have a lifetime replacement warranty on the nylon cap. The single ball secures to the ball housing with an internal pin that is sold separately. It is listed on this product page as a related product and it's Part Number AM3440. This part is made in the USA.

For those who need a 2" ball for their Rapid Hitch, this single greaseless AlumiBall offers 8,000 lbs towing capacity and a smooth towing experience.
This single hitch ball helped alot for my truck that sits high. I don't have to use my double hitch ball anymore which because it was set at a the lowest slot on my drop down shank it would scrape driveway curb.
The rapid hitch with the double (inverted) ball was just a little to low to the ground when I wanted to tow a small jet ski trailer. By using just the 2" ball, ground clearance is no longer a problem.
Hitch ball arrived quickly, packed securely and works great in my Rapid Hitch. Have purchased previously from etrailer and will continue to do so. Have never had any issues with my orders. Highly recommended vendor.

The hitch ball works great. Recently used this to flat tow my Jeep Wrangler behind my truck camper from Ohio to Colorado and back with no issues whatsoever. Very pleased. Would highly recommend.

Exactly what I ordered. Replaces my combo ball and avoids striking the pavement when going through dips in the road and parking lot entrances and exits.
