Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the replacement aluminum ball housing for the Rapid Hitch AM3400 Series Adjustable Ball Mount. Now, this part here is a replacement ball housing that'll work with that Rapid Hitch AM3400 Series Adjustable Ball Mount. Just to show you what we're talking about, I'm gonna pop up an insert, and there you can see that adjustable ball mount with this housing attached to it. This will replace a damaged ball housing on your Rapid Hitch Ball Mount. Now, it does not include that hitch ball combo that you see that inserts right in here.
That part we do sell separately. It's part number AM3424, and there's an insert to show you what that looks like. Basically, that hitch ball combo will drop right in here. You line the holes up. You can see the hole back here and the one up front here.
You line it up with the hole in that hitch ball combo which you put in here, and then it includes this internal pin to secure that hitch ball combo to the housing. You just slide this through the hole right here, through the hole in that hitch ball combo all the way through. And then just like that, when you put your pin through here, it'll hold that pin in spot and hold that combo in place. Now, when you do install this onto your adjustable ball mount, this portion here is what'll go up and down on the adjustable portion. And then what you'll need is you need to use a 4 1/4 inch long by 5/8 inch diameter non-locking adjustment pin to hold the ball housing to the shank of the adjustable ball mount.
Now, that adjustment pin we sell separately. it's part number AM3431, but that pin I mentioned is not locking. What we do like to recommend is to use the hitch lock and adjustment pin lock set, which contains two locks. I'll show you an insert of that. And basically what that does is that'll go through here and lock this ball housing to the shank.
And then the other one will go into the hitch pin hole of the shank and it'll lock the shank to the hitch receiver. So you're double locking it here and then the ball mount to your hitch receiver. That we sell separately on our website. It's part number AM3492, and that's the insert showing there. And most all these parts I'm showing you in the inserts, they are listed on this product page of this part as a related product. Now, this part is made in the USA. But that should do it for the review on this replacement aluminum ball housing for the Rapid Hitch AM3400 Series Adjustable Ball Mount.

Thanks
Replacement for original Andersen Rapid Hitch bought about a decade ago. After years of use could not remove the ball pin from double-sided 2" + 2-5/8" inch balls, will be sure to remove the pin and keep clean and well-lubed with this one. Keeping the original and just flip the whole ball and housing but needed an option for 1-7/8" too.
Ordered some pieces to improve my hitch,, very prompt on shipping
I have this on 3 trailers, 1 hitch receiver, and 2 on my boats downriggers. They work great and now my keyring is less bulky. Been using them for years.
Fast shipping and high quality
