The greaseless AlumiBall is a solid aluminum hitch ball topped with a nylon cap. The cap enables the trailer coupler to rotate easily around the ball. This prevents the coupler from getting stuck during turns and makes the towing experience smoother. The Alumiball does not require the use of lubricants, helping you to avoid greasy messes. Nylon cap is replaceable.

    Hi MH, The balls for the Rapid Hitch Adjustable, Locking, Aluminum Ball Mount Kit # AM3400 can rapidly be changed out by removing the bracket that holds the balls and then pulling out the locking pin # AM3440. With it removed you can slot in one of Andersen's ball attachments and reinstall the bracket on the shank.
