Question:
With the setup I bought from you guys item # AM3405, Can I just purchase the 1 7/8 inch rapid hitch ball and plug it in? I am trying to see how I can take the double ball out of the ball mount. Maybe call to discuss? Thanks

Expert Reply:
You can absolutely purchase the 1-7/8" hitch ball and use it in place of the 2" and 2-5/16" double ball mount that comes with the Rapid Hitch Adjustable, Aluminum Ball Mount Kit w/ 2 Greaseless Balls - 5-1/2" Drop # AM3405.
The correct ball for this is the Rapid Hitch Ball with 1-7/8" Diameter - Greaseless AlumiBall # AM3452.
To install the # AM3452, you'll need to remove the double hitch balls from the platform; there is a pin behind the mount that you'll remove which will free the hitch balls and allow you to install the 1-7/8" ball.
