Can a Pin Box on a Fifth Wheel Trailer Be Raised to Lower Nose of Trailer
Published 09/25/2015 >
Question:
I have a question about the Lippert 1621 pin box. My new 5th wheel has this model# on it rated at 15500 lbs and I had to lower my hitch in truck as far as it would adjust and Im wondering can i raise the box on the 5th wheel to level out my camper? Its right at 9inches above bed rails and my rv definitely needs to be more level. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you,

The minimum bed rail to trailer overhang clearance we recommend is 6 inches, so if your setup is 9 inches currently and you need the nose of the trailer to come down still you could lower the pin box up to 3 inches to help level it out.
You would need to unbolt the pin box and then raise it up higher to the next set of pin box holes to accomplish this.
