Bolt Torque Value for Installing LC1387882 Lippert 1621 HD Replacement Pin Box

Question:

Hi You say pinbox 1621HD with 5/8UNC grade 5 mount bolts are to be torqued to 150 ft/lb. I am confused my manual for Hartland Gateway 3650BH say to torque to only 60-70 ft/lb why is this? It is only half of what you suggest Thanks

If there's a conflict in the instructions provided by the RV manufacturer and what's stated by the manufacturer of a sub-assembly such as the # LC1387882 Lippert 1621 pin box, you'll want to go with the advice from the manufacturer of the sub-assembly as they'd have more knowledge about the part in question than the RV manufacturer would.

Lippert confirms that 5/8 inch by 1-12 Grade 5 bolts should be used and torqued to 160 foot lbs.
