I really like this hitch. The puck system lined up perfectly with the OEM hitch frame in my 2018 GMC Sierra 3500 truck bed so installation was very easy. I like the jaw position indicator that tells you at a glance from the cab whether the jaws are opened or closed which makes hitching and unhitching straightforward. This hitch is over-rated for my rig by 10,000 lb but that should translate to greater reliability and service life. My only complaint is that there's no facility to securely lock the hitch onto the truck bed to prevent it from being stolen. I solved this problem by running a steel cable through the gooseneck puck opening and around the truck frame and looped the cable through the lower hitch frame and hitch head and secured it with a padlock. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

After talking on the phone about the Q25 or A25, I decided to get the A24. Its the new model for the Curt hitch and can’t be happier with it so far. Shipment was fast. Boxes were damaged but can’t really blam it since the two boxes are very heavy. Hitch only had a few scratches on it. Was very easy to put together. I have not towed with it yet since it is still winter here in Maryland. The hitch is build very good. Can already tell it will be way better than my old hitch. I won’t put that company’s name on this review. I highly recomemd ordering from etrailer.

Please note this review is for receiving and installing the A25 hitch. I will update this review when I have a few trips under my belt on how it performs.
First, as others have mentioned, the box that housed the legs was in poor shape and was heavily taped to keep in intact. It even had a hole in one end but the legs were in excellent shape, except for a little scrape paint on the edge of one of the legs. Not a big deal and a little black paint will keep the rust away. The other carton contained the hitch head and support beam. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you it had 48 staples. 38 in the top and 5 more on the two long sides. When I removed the staples on the two long flaps each of the inside flaps had 6 staples each. Talk about over kill! A good pair of lineman's pliers is a must for removing 48 staples.

Once I was able to open the hitch box, the contents were in excellent condition with no scrapes or blemishes to the painted parts. A word of warning: This hitch is heavy! I've read somewhere this hitch, fully assembled weighs around 170 pounds so beware. Putting it together is simple. Four bolts and two screws for the handle and it's done. The manual explains installation for legs used with rails. My setup was for the GM puck system. The only difference I could see you don't use the lock nuts and there are no guide pins on the support beam. The 14mm bolt heads will take a 13/16 socket/wrench and if you use the lock nuts they take a 22mm wrench/socket. I don't understand why a U. S. made product mixes Metric and English fittings.

Summary: This is a heavy product, well built, with easy to understand instructions. Simple installation and adjustments. The only negative (for me anyway) is once you open the jaws, you can't close them with the handle. The only way I see is to push the jaws in as would happen when hitching. Since they are spring loaded they will snap close with authority when engaged. I'm going to use an one inch wooded dowel to close the jaws as I prefer them being closed when not in use.

Now that I have used my new hitch several time I feel I can give a honest review. This hitch is great. I really like the way the release handle works, no pulling on a handle, just slight pull then slide toward cab, very easy. This hitch is a little heavy but worth it. Very solid and well made. Easy to adjust the cams that fit into the "PUCK" system on my 2019 Chevy 3500. I got the Q25 to make sure I had a hitch that could easily handle my 40ft. Montana fifth wheel, overkill but gives me a piece of mind. I called in my order and worked with Tim, he was great. He verified that this hitch fit my truck. We use this hitch to pull a 16k camper, or our 20k car hauler. I really like the symbols on the front of the hitch - so I can tell if I'm locked, before I get out of the truck. I have not had any issues with this hitch, it's been great! Had it around 1 year now.

2019 GMC Sierra 3500

This hitch is quite when locking! I'm use to a loud "ping" with my old hitch which signaled good connection. It's not a bad thing, just different! It makes a good connection! I like how tight the dual jaw fits around king pin, zero play in connection which is great! The unit is well built, thick material. It makes zero noise when towing, I find myself looking in cam to make sure everything is alright with it.

I backed up truck to ups and he put in bed of truck. I installed in about 15 minutes. Good instructions but not needed for it is very simple to assemble, just 4 bolts attach the legs to the main hitch assembly. 2 more screws attach the handle then drop into the pucks of my Sierra 1 ton Curt base plate That I ordered from GMC factory which they installed when I ordered my new truck.
This hitch will be used for our new 2019 Keystone Montana 3791RD that is 40 feet long, this hitch will allow a comfortable towing experience.

The hitch is exactly what I was wanting... even though it is heavy, it was easy to assemble and adjust to the truck bed pucks. I will be trying it out in the next week when I hook up to the 5th wheel.

received product and it was scratched up from shipping but we will work with it. this is the first hitch we have purchased in many years and was glad to get it and not have to redo the inside of the truck bed. fits in to the slots and is ready to pull our newest camper on many adventures. I was out of town and when I returned home on the afternoon of delivery there set my packages in great shape. Easy to assemble and install. Works well, can be a little finicky to get latched, doesn't seem to like it unless you are straight aligned. Can be hard if you are hooking up with the truck at an angle to the unit. Other than that it has been great.

2019 GMC Sierra 3500

Package arrived severely damaged, the hitch was scratched and scuffed looked used already, even though I'm sure it isn't. But it does not affect the functionality. Maybe need to rethink the packaging of such a heavy item.

Got the head but not the legs. Not sure what kind of rating you think I should give. Called your customer service dept. and they think they will deliver tomorrow. FYI the head that was delivered is actually a day earlier than expected. So far everyone has been great to work with.
