Today, we're going to take a look at the Reese Quick Install custom bracket kit for fifth wheel trailer hitches. Now, this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2014 and newer Dodge Ram and Ram 2500 series trucks, with either the six foot bed or the eight foot bed and without the factory rail kit. Now, on a custom fit part, I always like to recommend to go to our website, use our fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it will show you if this part will work for your application. Now, these installation brackets will mount beneath your truck bed. They do provide the attachment points for the fifth wheel rails. Now, the base rails, we do sell separately on our website. They are part number RP58058.
The rails is what will sit in the truck bed and allow the installation of your fifth wheel trailer hitch to your truck. These custom brackets will mount to existing holes in your truck frame. That will minimize drilling and measuring. This is a thoroughly tested kit, which is compliant with the strict SAE guidelines. It does include all the mounting hardware. A lot of it is the grade-A hardware included.
Now, this is also compatible with the Curve, the Draw-tight, the Hidden Hitch Husky, Reese, and Valley fifth wheel hitches. The finish on this is a sturdy black powder-coated steel, which will help resist corrosion. It does come with a nice set of detailed instructions that describe how to install this on your vehicle. Ordered custom 5th wheel frame brackets ,rail bolt kit and 5th wheel hitch pins for my 2017 Ram 2500 on December 5th and they were delivered on December 7th. The order was complete and everything was packaged very neatly with no damage!!
First off i'm not a complainer but i am not real impressed with this product. Reese general does a better job on fitment and providing hardware. Hardly any of bracket to rail hardware was supplied. Was unable to get spacers under front brackets so there was some of the bed crushed. If i was not on a tight deadline i would have order another brand a friend had just installed on the same kind of truck that did a much better job.
It fit my truck fine. Was a pain to install. I had to drill a lot of holes. The bracket design is bit ugly, but nobody will see it.
Product worked flawlessly and seamless. Was very simple to install according to directions. Great job by everyone at etrailer for your help.

All was good, but there were no nuts for the bolts. For as much as this cost it looks like I could get the nuts for the bolts to.

Your Ram truck actually has factory installed mounting points in the truck frame for the bolts included in the bracket kit to attach. No nuts were included because they are not needed.
BOLTED RIGHT UP PERFECTLY. PACKAGE WAS EASY TO HANDLE AND PROTECTED WELL FOR THE WEIGHT INVOLVED.
Great product! Everything fit perfectly. Just watch out for left and right. I first put on the rear backwards. After switching them around everything lined up.
Product was everything it said it was easy to install and the directions worked out well
A little hard to install yourself. I took mine to professionals.
