When you’re backing into a campsite or making a tight turn, this hitch automatically slides back up to 14" to give you the clearance you need between the truck cab and trailer. The rack-and-pinion gears move smoothly and precisely as you turn, so you don’t have to stop, climb out, and pull a lever. It glides rearward when turning and returns forward when straightening out, making slow-speed maneuvering simple and controlled.
The wraparound, single-piece jaw gives full 360-degree contact around the king pin for a tight, solid hold that cuts down on rattle and chucking. A 3/4" thick steel locking bar reinforces that connection once the jaw closes, automatically locking the trailer in place. It’s a setup built to tow heavy 5th wheels confidently at up to 21,000 lbs GTW and 5,250 lbs vertical load.
The double-pivot head moves both front-to-back and side-to-side to help absorb road shock and make hitching easier. Three polyurethane dampeners cushion the movement to reduce noise and jarring, so every mile feels steadier and quieter. The head naturally pivots into position as it meets the pin box, helping line things up fast when hooking up.
This hitch comes pre-assembled for quick installation on the included above-bed rails and brackets. You can set the head height at 15-1/4", 16-1/2", or 18" to match your trailer setup and maintain good bed rail clearance. Once in place, pin it to the rails using the safety pins provided and it’s ready for towing—solid, level, and secure.
This fifth-wheel trailer hitch is not compatible with Sidewinder or Revolution king pins. Do not use any device that changes the pivot point of your trailer's king pin with this hitch.

Hello, neighbors. Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at the Demco Premier Series custom mounting brackets for your 5th wheel above-bed base rails. Now folks, this is a custom-fit application. Those bed rails when they're installed would look something like this. Again, those are sold separately.
That's part number DM6071. And again, those will sit in the bed and allow the installation of your fifth wheel trailer hitch on top of them. Again, the brackets today, folks, are custom and they mount beneath the bed of your truck to provide that attachment point for those rails. Now folks, this is a custom-fit application on the brackets. They're fitting between 2009 through current year RAM 1500 and Dodge Ram pickup trucks, all bed lengths.
But please check the fit guide, etrailer.com, top center of the homepage. Make sure you're getting the right parts for your specific vehicle. It's gonna ask you for year, make, and model, cab length, bed size, truck size, those kind of things. Make sure you're getting the right parts the first time. That being said, folks, the custom brackets again, are gonna mount to existing holes in your vehicle's frame.
It's gonna minimize drilling to very, very little. That's gonna reduce installation time and it avoids known obstacles along your truck's frame. It's a nice, sturdy, heavy-duty, steel-coated, black powder coat. It's gonna resist corrosion, rust, that kind of stuff. As you can see, all the brackets are marked.
Let's see, driver, passenger, rear, rear, the side ones. You got the front passenger and the driver front passenger. Or driver front. Different shapes on these front ones. So just a quick view of those. And again, you're getting all the mounting hardware. You get a couple fish wires here included. Those are for threading the bolts onto there and pull it through the frame. You got some lock tight included or blue thread lock. You get all the hardware, again, as I mentioned, needed to install this directly into the frame of your pickup truck. Everything's made here in the US. It's got a great five-year limited warranty. And again, folks, these do work with the base rails, and those base rails are sold separately. Part number DM6071.
