Secure, Two-Piece Jaw

Q24 Two-Piece Jaw

Unlike slide-bar models, the rounded, two-piece jaw on this fifth-wheel trailer hitch inhibits rattle and movement by securely wrapping around your trailer's king pin, resulting in easier hookup and a safer, quieter ride.

Three-Point Indicator System

Get peace of mind with Curt's color-coded lock indicator. Just look at the indicator - either the one on the handle or the one on the hitch itself - to determine whether the jaw is in the correct position to uncouple (red), couple (yellow) or tow (green).

Q24 Color Indicator System

360-Degree Pivot

Curt's unique spherical axial bearing provides a durable pivot point that allows easy, 360-degree movement of the hitch head. This ball joint is designed for smooth, quiet operation with less clunking and chucking.

Video Transcript for What to Know About the Curt Universal Fifth Wheel Base Rails

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the CURT Universal Carbide Black Finish Fifth Wheel Base Rails. Now, these base rails will install in your truck bed. And they provide the necessary attachment points for your fifth wheel hitch installation. Now, when these rails are used with the CURT's Custom Mounting Brackets, which we sell separate on a website, these rails will cut in half the time it takes to install your fifth wheel trailer hitch.

We mentioned the finish on this. I'm gonna zoom in and sort of show it. It's a carbide black finish, sort of like a matte black finish, so it matches the finish if you use it on the CURT Q5 20K Fifth Wheel Hitch. Now, these rails are universal, so they will work with the following fifth wheel hitches. They work with the CURT brand, the Draw-Tite, the Hidden Hitch, the Reese, and even the Husky.

This part here will include the two base rails. Now, we mentioned the mounting brackets, the custom mounting brackets, the hardware, and an installation kit is all sold separately. The length on these rails, if we put a tape measure on them from one end to the other, right at 43 inches long. But that should do it for the review on the CURT Universal Carbide Black Finish Fifth Wheel Base Rails.

  • B&W Rails And Hitch For A 2001 Ford F250 Super Duty
Hi Jeremy! B&W does indeed have an option for your 2001 Ford F250. The B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider and Universal Install Kit - Dual Jaw - 18,000 lbs # BW38XR is a sliding hitch, which is recommended for short bed trucks, and comes with ISR (Industry Standard Rails) universal rails # BWRVR3200. These rails will require a bit of drilling into the frame of your truck, but we do have an option that is a much easier install (though not from B&W). The Curt Custom Fifth Wheel...

  • Will The PullRite SuperGlide PUL63RR Fit A 2001 Ford F250?
Hi Jeff! If your 2001 Ford F250 has above bed rails, like the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Ford F250 and F350 - Carbide Finish # C16443-204, then the PullRite SuperGlide 5th Wheel Hitch for Short Bed Trucks - 20K # PUL63RR will indeed fit! If you don't currently have above bed rails, the # C16443-204 rail kit I mentioned is a custom fit set up for your truck. If you wanted to add some wiring into your bed, I recommend the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness...

  • 5TH Wheel Rail Kit For a 2000 Ford F-250 Short Bed To Accept a B&W Patriot 5TH Wheel Hitch
I recommend installing the Curt 5TH Wheel Rails # C16443-204 on your 2000 Ford F-250. Currently B&W only goes back to 2005 for their custom under bed brackets. For your 2000 F-250 you would have to use the B&W Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit # BWRVR3200 to stay with B&W rails and under bed brackets. These underbed brackets are universal so you will have to drill the frame to use this kit. The Curt # C16443-204 rails are custom fit so you will not have to drill your frame. They...

Any hitch made in recent years by a major brand will be ISR except for those made specifically for the respective OEM puck systems. The square spacers go between the rails and the truck bed where the bolts go through that attach to the nuts on the under side of the bed. They should be placed in the lower corrugation in the bed. Sometimes, a hole for the bolt has to be drilled in the side of one of the raised corrugations. In this case, you can use an angle grinder and trim the spacer at a 45 degree angle so that it will fit. So you would have a bolt going through the rail, then the spacer (which is between the rail...

  • Is The Curt Q25 Fifth Wheel Hitch Compatible With Rota Flex Pin Boxes
The whole Curt Q-Series line like the Curt Q25 # C16265 you referenced is not compatible with the Rota Flex pin box line like the # LC328330, nor are they compatible with rotating pin boxes. The pivoting system of the pin box works against the pivoting system of the hitch head and can cause the components of the head to deteriorate, ultimately leading to the hitch head failing. The only option is to either replace the pin box with one of the same bolt pattern or to replace the hitch....

  • Troubleshooting Stuck Jaws on Curt Q25 5th Wheel Hitch
Thank you for all of the information regarding your Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16265 being stuck on your 5th wheel trailer. It sounds like you've got 2 things going on here; the first is that the jaws are binding, and the second is that the orbital pad has been broken. Binding happens when the truck and trailer are parked on an uneven surface and the king pin sits at a weird angle to the jaws and everything gets stuck. The only way to remedy this is to either hook your truck...

  • Will Curt Q Series 5th Wheel Hitches Work with a MORryde Pin Box
It looks like you're asking if the Curt Q series fifth wheel hitches are compatible with your MORryde pin box. Yes, hitches like the Curt Q25 # C16265 will work with a MORryde. This is the 25,000 pound hitch that fits into industry standard rails. If you can tell me the year, make, model, and bed length of your truck I can help you find the correct hitch and install kit that fits. Or if you have the factory prep package we may have a hitch that fits without an install kit.

  • Installing Curt Q25 5th Wheel Hitch on 2019 Ford F-250 with Factory Prep Kit
In order to install the Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16265 referenced in your question on your 2019 Ford F-250 that is equipped with the factory prep kit, you will just need the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter # DM6175. • Size of Replacement O-Ring for Bearing Shaft of Curt C16265 Q25 5th Wheel Hitch
On the Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, # C16265 and previous question that references O-ring size. The needed diameter is 31.5 mm, for thickness, an O-ring of about 2 or 3mm is sufficient. Its exact thickness is not crucial as it is not required for creating a seal but rather in place for purpose of creating a stop location. Within the "INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS" for the Q25 (current online copy is linked below) page 6 in text under figure 9, it states "...The O-ring retainer stop...

  • Option for Raising Nose of Momentum 3975 Wheel Trailer Towed by 2019 Ford F-350
4 inches of clearance between the bed rails of your truck and the overhang of the 2020 Momentum 397 is the very minimum amount of clearance most refer to as safe. So strictly in that regard you aren't in a terrible position. That said, 6 inches is a much more ideal amount of clearance to have and it looks like your trailer might be a little nose low so it could stand to be raised in the front. Since pin box replacements aren't really designed for offering varying height setting you'd...

  • How Much Does Curt Q25 5th Wheel Hitch for GM 5th Wheel Prep Package Weigh
Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16069 has a shipping weight of 205 pounds. This hitch is designed to fit directly in the factory 5th wheel prep package on 2016 to 2018 GMC/Chevy 2500 and 3500 trucks with 8 foot beds so no additional rails are needed for those trucks. • Will Curt Q25 5th Wheel Hitch Fit Reese Base Rails
The Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16265 will fit industry-standard base rails, which is almost certainly what the Reese rails you have in your truck are. You can verify this by taking a quick measurement of yours, using the accompanying photo as a guide for what your rails should measure, which is 22 inches front to back on center with the mounting holes measuring and either 20-1/2 inches or 29 inches wide. If this is not what you have you would need to get new base rails for your...

Look in the bed of your 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500 and see if you see 4 pucks/ports centered in the truck bed like what you see in the picture I attached. If you see them then a hitch like the Curt # C16069 will fit it directly.
