Today we're going to take a look at the Curt custom fifth wheel custom brackets for Ram trucks. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2019 Ram 1500 trucks and on a custom fit part like this, I always like to recommend for you to go to our website. Use the fit guide. Put in your year and model vehicle. It'll show you if this will work for your application.Now, these brackets are what will mount beneath your truck bed and they provide the attachment points for the fifth wheel base rails to connect to.
Now, the base rails we do sell separately. It does require the Curt base rails, either part number C16104 or C16204. And the base rails, once these are installed in your truck bed, the base rails are what will bolt to these brackets and allow you to install your fifth wheel to your truck. I did happen to pull one of the rails. They do come in sets of twos.
I just happened to pull one of them to show you what the base rail would look like. And again, this is what mounts to these mounting brackets.Now, these mounting brackets, these will provide a custom fit by mounting to existing holes in your vehicle's frame. This will help minimize the amount of drilling that's required. So it cuts the installation time in half when compared with just the universal bracket kits that are out there. It does include all the necessary hardware you need for installation.
Nice set of detailed instructions. And these are compatible with the Curt, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Reese and Husky fifth wheel hitches. But that should do it for the review on the Curt custom fifth wheel custom brackets for Ram trucks.
Good quality parts made to fit right. The time estimate to complete the job was unrealistic, it took me most of the day to complete, but the directions were clear and fairly accurate. To do this job without a lift would be very difficult at best.
