This fifth-wheel hitch system includes a lightweight frame that installs on industry-standard rails just like a regular fifth-wheel hitch. The frame holds a ball above your pickup bed at the proper height to connect to your fifth-wheel trailer. Because the ball is held above the bed of your truck, this adapter avoids the stress and chucking that longer, conventional fifth-wheel adapters create. And the included coupler adapter installs in a snap, converting your trailer's king pin to a gooseneck ball coupler.
The frame with ball weighs only 40 pounds and replaces the standard, heavy, cast iron skid plate and locking jaws of a typical fifth-wheel hitch. This system is light enough for just one person to easily install and remove. You'll always be able to take out the frame when you want full use of your pickup truck bed.
The king pin adapter includes a remote release that you operate with a cable, so you can latch the coupler to the ball without climbing into the back of your truck. Made of powder-coated steel, the adapter is resistant to rust and corrosion.
And because a ball-and-coupler connection has more swivel than a standard fifth-wheel hitch, you'll be able to more easily hook up your trailer on uneven ground.

The product is fantastic, it's packaging lacks a little to be desired, it showed up dented and scratched because it is not protected properly. It is heavy so ups drug it around and damaged the box.
Seemed to ride ok but I did not trust the block mounted to the kingpin. It would loosen itself and I would consistently have to check and tighten the screws. Did not trust it so I replaced it with a B&W.
I had been looking for a 5th wheel hitch that would fit in a Ford Dually truck I had just purchased. The truck had an existing flip up ball. It also had a 98 gal. fuel tank in the bed and a tonneau cover which I had to take into consideration. I was unable to find a hitch that would work without leaving rails in the bed until I found the Anderson Ultimate 5th wheel connection. I had a tight schedule and needed it to be sent 3 day delivery. The staff at etrailer.com went out of their way to give me measurements and make the schedule happen. It arrived on schedule and appears to be exactly what I need.

Well I just received it. I haven't put it in my truck yet but it looks very strong and sturdy.
I did a lot of research trying to find the best bang for my buck and this is it. I have owned the hitch for about a year now and have had zero issues with it. I use it on my 40 foot elevation toy hauler and it works great and you can't beat the fact that you can take it out in a matter of minutes and have a completely empty and clean truck bed!!!!
