Hello Eric. Congrats on the new 2025 Corolla Hatchback!

Yes, the only hitch that I see for the 2025 Toyota Corolla Hatchback is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11567 which is a Class I with a 1 1/4" receiver. I checked the previous years and it looks like they only had a Class I as well. When a vehicle only has a class I available, it's because that vehicle is not supposed to be hauling anything heavier. I would check your owners manual to see what Toyota says the vehicle can handle. Just because this hitch can handle a 200 pound tongue weight, and a 2,000 pound towing capacity it does not mean that the vehicle can handle that kind of weight.

With the 1 1/4" receiver we do have a ball mount for light towing the Draw-Tite Drawbar for 1-1/4" Hitches - 5/8" Rise - 6-5/8" Long - 2,000 lbs # 3590 which even has a pin and clip included as well. For a ball you want the 2" Hitch Ball with Internal Thread - 3/4" Diameter x 2" Long Shank - Chrome - 3.5K # EI2C-C.

There is an adapter to go from a 1 1/4" to a 2" but this will cut your tongue weight in half, and cannot be used for towing the Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" Hitch - 6-1/2" Long # e43YR.

If you also need some wiring for light towing or a hitch mounted accessory I would go with the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter w/ 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector and Install Kit # C59496.

Hey Kate! I am looking at this same Curt Class I hitch for my 2022 Corolla Hatchback, but to use only for a bike rack. I have an electric bike that weighs about 64 lbs with its battery removed and was curious if this hitch would be ideal for my bike along with a Thule bike rack?

@TonyP Hello Tony. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11567 would be a great fit for your 2022 Corolla Hatchback. Just as long as your Thule bike rack fits a 1 1/4" receiver, it will work great for your 1 e-bike. The # C11567 can handle a tongue weight (vertical load) of 200 pounds, minus the 64 pounds for the bike would put you at 136 pounds for the weight of the bike rack. Of course you will want to double check your owners manual to ensure that Toyota says it can handle the 200 pound tongue weight. I really do like the fact that you know the weight of your bike without the battery as it is recommended by most e-bike manufacturers to remove the battery during transport, unfortunately there are a lot of people that do not follow that rule. Do you have a favorite trail you like to ride? We have the Katy Trail out here in Missouri and when the weather is nice it is packed with people =)

@KateF Thanks so much for the confirmation. I’m planning to get a used Thule bile rack from a friend to start out with, and was wonder if the 1 1/4 inch hitch was just as stable as the 2inch hitches I’ve seen. Also, how cool is it to have a trail named after you! :P I live in Southern California so I have a ton of cool trails and places to explore, on my first ever e-bike :)

@TonyP Very nice Tony! I was born and raised in So Cal but have now spent half of my life here in Missouri. I still get out there from time to time to visit family. The 1 1/4" is just as durable as the 2" bike racks. My neighbor just got her first e-bike and she loves it! Happy riding =)
