Question:
I recently purchased a new new to us toad that was already set up and wired with a D- Cellorometer Unified Brake controller system. It appears that everything on the tow car is in place and I have no reason to believe that it shouldnt be operable. However I dont have the controller for the dash of the motor-home. I assume this is required for the tow car brakes to operate correctly when being towed. Are the Unified Brake controllers still available? If this controller is not available can I replace it with an off the shelfinch controller such as the Redarc controller. If I do need to use something other than the Unified controller will the Unified brake system operate as designed or do I need to bypass its controller so as not to have two inertia systems fighting each other? Thanks for your help.

Congrats on the new purchase! Sorry to have to tell you but conventional brake controllers like the Redarc item # RED24FR do not work with the D- Cellorometer Unified brake system. We do not offer any replacement parts for Unified systems and it does not look like they are still available either. The only solution I have is to replace it with the Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System item # SM99251.
