The best hitch for a 2024 Equinox is the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C77FR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your SUV with included hardware. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver.

I really like this hitch because the crosstube mounts behind your rear bumper leaving only the 2" receiver exposed. This not only looks better but it also helps with ground clearance.

If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C94FR, if you have the tow package, and a ball mount kit item # C45534.

I have linked a couple of installation videos below so you can see how to get these parts set up.

I also recommend using the No-Drill Mount Bracket item # 18136 and the item # C42CR to secure the 4-way connector to your hitch. This will put it in an easy to reach spot and prevent the risk of it falling onto the road.
