Question:

It is for the rear plate & I want to use the 4 pin connectors that I already have to hook it up. I have a splitter that I will use for the 4 way connection so I hookup one to the rear trailer lights & the 2nd one to the license plate light.

Is this for a front plate you are looking for a light for additional visibility? Or a license plate light for the rear and you want to use like 4-way trailer wiring connection?

While we don't have a license plate bracket already set up like that you could use the Optronics LED Trailer License Plate Bracket part # LPL55CB which has a light built into it and a 4-way connector like part # 18004. You will connect the black wire from the bracket light to the brown wire on the 4-way connector, and the white wire from the bracket light to the white wire on the 4-way connector using heat shrink butt connectors # DW05744-5.
