How To Install Guide-Ons On a Prestige Boat Trailer
Question:
Looking to install some sort of guide post to our 2006 Prestige trailer. Problem is that behind the wheels it has a diamond tread patterned step that seems to be in the way of mounting. Should I surface mount? I am afraid if I work around the step the guides will be too far out and not very effective. These will definitely help centering the boat when loading in the slight current of the Missouri River where we primarily boat. Thank you

The CE Smith Post-Style Guide-Ons for Boat Trailers part # CE27620 would work on a Prestige Boat Trailer with some slightly modifications. For starters, they will need to be mounted on top of the frame and then you'd need to drill into the diamond plate in order to allow for the u-bolts to pass through. I don't have a photo of this setup on said trailer but I do have a similar one which should help and I have attached that below for you.
