Are Rubber Wheel Chocks Better Than Plastic for Trailers
Updated 10/15/2021 | Published 10/14/2021 >
Question:
Would the rubber wheel chocks grip pavement better than the plastic yellow ones? I am concerned about parking the trailer, an Aliner, on my sloping driveway. Thank you

Helpful Expert Reply:
Yes, rubber wheel chocks such as the Buyers Products 5" Wheel Chock part # 337WC1467A tend to have a better grip on asphalt and pavement when compared to plastic which can have a tendency to slide. I personally prefer rubber wheel chocks to plastic because they are more durable but I will say plastic is lighter and weight is a factor for trailers when you start to add things up. The Buyers Products 5" Wheel Chock weighs about 3 lbs.
