Question:
Dear Andrew. Thank you very much for your promptly answer. This is an aluminum trailer, I prefer to not make modifications to the chassis like weld o add a 2” tube reinforcement to hold the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System. If prefer to weld and accomplish by professionals the mounting flange and go to electric brakes using my axle and splinde. Please let me know all the parts I need to do that, also the dash actuator part number, switches and connectors. Thank you very much.

It is possible to weld on a brake flange such as Brake Mounting Flange for 1-3/4" Round Trailer Axles - 2K # 4-34 for 1-3/4" round axles, but it takes a qualified welder and even then it can be difficult to accomplish. A better solution is to upgrade your current axles with something like Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System - Spindle w/Brake Flange - Regular Tires - 2,200 lbs # ASR1THDS01, or if you need lift spindles you can go with Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System - 4" Lift Spindle w/Flange - Regular Tires - 2.2K # TASR1THDS04.
These suspension systems can be bolted or welded onto your trailer and you may need to use 2" square tubing for reinforcement. These have brake flanges already installed onto them, so you can simply add a brake assembly like Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit w/ Parking Brakes - 7" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 2.2K # K23-103-104-00 then add a hub and drum assembly such as Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly for 2,000-lb Axles - 7" - 5 on 4-1/2 # 8-257-5UC3.
