There are a pair of options for bike racks that work with a Class II trailer hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver and have the weight capacity for e-bikes while being compatible with fenders. The two bike racks that you can use are the following:
- Yakima OnRamp E-Bike Platform Rack # Y96FR
- Thule EasyFold XT E-Bike Platform Rack # TH903202
These are the best bike racks for your hitch because they are the simplest to use, offer numerous convenience features, and are frame-mounted so fenders won't interfere.
Both options have ramps to make loading and unloading your heavy e-bikes easier, and also use clamps that grip your bikes by the frame, which is why fenders are not an issue. They also both have integrated locks to protect your bikes, but the locks for the bikes on the EasyFold are in the clamps while the lock for the OnRamp is a cable lock.
The EasyFold is also easier to install by tightening and locking in your hitch with the twist of a knob, while the OnRamp uses a non-locking hitch pin bolt. It can be locked, but you do need to add the Yakima HitchLock for Yakima Hitch Mounted Bike Racks # Y07235.
These are the two best options for a Class II hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver, with the easiest to use being the EasyFold, but the OnRamp being a close second. I like the EasyFold the most because of its sheer simplicity, but the OnRamp is also going to be an excellent option.
