How To Choose Correct 2.5" Weight Distribution Shank
Question:
I purchased a new vehicle and it has a 2.5 inch hitch receiver and the weight distribution hitch for our camper has a 2 inch shank. I see that I can replace the equalizer shank, but I am not sure which one I need. How can I know which replacement shank I need?

In regards to choosing the correct weight distribution shank, you really only need to pay attention to the hitch size and rise/drop. The brand won't matter as much as they are all pretty much universal in this regard. The Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank part # EQ90-02-4800 is correct for most setups as it offers up to 4" of drop. I have attached a full list of options below as well as an article to find the correct rise/drop if you don't know what that is.
