Slide Out Periodically Doesn't Work On 2010 Keystone RV Hideout Series M30 BHDS
Updated 10/22/2019 | Published 10/21/2019 >
Question:
My slide outs will periodically not work, but after waiting and several tries they eventually will. It tends to happen more often when attempting to pull the slides in, that it does when they are going out. Is the issue likely related to the solenoid going bad?

Expert Reply:
Yes; this could potentially be an issue with the solenoid and there is a way to test whether or not this is the cause of the issues. What you'll need to do is switch the wiring between the two cylinders to see if the same thing happens, but in reverse, which would indicate the solenoid being the problem.
If the slideouts start malfunctioning when you're extending the slides, you can replace the solenoid with the Lippert Components Polartiy Reversing Solenoid # LC118246 . If nothing really changes upon trying this test, there may an issue with the motor on your slideout which can also be replaced.
