The female end connects to your RV's or boat's marine-style 50 amp power plug. It does have the threaded locking ring on the female end, which helps create a weather proof connection. Does exactly what I need. When I am storing my 5'er, I use this to Step the power from 50 amps down to the 30 wishbone then down to 15 amps. I feel I don't want to chance losing my 50 amp cord to a wire thief.
