Making 7-Way Extension for Truck Towing Two Trailers
Products Featured in This Question
Question:
I am pulling a 16 ft car hauler behind my 20 ft camper trailer and would like to have a 7 way blade female plug to be able to activate the rear axle brakes of the flatbed. Access to the wires on the back of the camper is my problem. I am hesitant to tear in to the underneath covering of the camper not knowing the best place to access all the wires. Is their an “extension cord” like wire set with a vehicle side plug attached that I could just splice in to my trailer side plug at the front and just run under the trailer to the back? Thanks in advance

You'd have to install the # 41157 on your tow vehicle which comes with a 10 foot long 7-way socket extension that plugs inline with the 7-way you have at the rear of your vehicle. This could then be routed on the side of your trailer or underneath where you could use a 7-way extension like the # TLW6510 which is 10 feet in length. From there you'd be able to plug in the 7-way of your second vehicle.
