Where is the Running Light Fuse for Trailer on 2013 Ram 1500

Question:

On my 2013 Ram 1500 i can not locate the fuse for my trailer lights. My turn signs work but my running lights do not work. The small print on the manual are to small to read. Can you help, Please ?

From what I could find, the fuse is in the underhood fuse box next to the battery. Check the yellow 20 Amp fuse in location F29. That should be for the trailer running/parking lights.

If I were you, then I would also check the Pink 30 Amp fuse in location F30. That is for the trailer connector itself, so it wouldn't hurt to make sure it is okay as well. There is also a 15 Amp Blue fuse in location F79 for your truck's clearance lights. This fuse shouldn't have any bearing on the trailer's clearance/running lights, but I've seen weirder things happen.

For future reference, the rest of the tow package fuses are listed below:

Backup Lights - 20 Amp Yellow Fuse in F28
Left Turn/Stop - 20 Amp Yellow Fuse in F53
Right Turn/Stop - 20 Amp Yellow Fuse in F81
Brake Controller - 30 Amp Pink Fuse in F11

If all of your fuses look good, then I recommend inspecting your trailer connector for signs of corrosion or wire damage. If you see any issues, you are better off just replacing the entire connector with # HM40975-11933 to make sure you eliminate any corrosion or wiring damage that could be unseen.

If everything on the truck looks good and you are still having problems with your trailer lights, let me know and we can do further troubleshooting.

I have the same problem I was doing my trailer lights and 2 wires touched. Everything working other than running lights. Checked F29 AND GOOD checked F30 and it good. truck light all working one just the running light on trailer. did a test at the plug in for trailer and nothing on the running light but all else working

It definitely sounds like a bad fuse or relay. Check your copy of the owner's manual just to make sure the above locations are correct for your specific model. There might also be an additional relay in the passenger compartment box connected to this circuit.

Thank you, been crawling under truck all day trying to figure out why no running lights for trailer, wife said you tube it, typed problem and this popped up, was my problem the whole time, thank you
