I looked at the owner's manual for your 2017 Ford Expedition to find the location of the fuses that are for towing a trailer. You might be best off checking your own manual to verify but here's what I found:
In the power distribution box in the engine compartment the trailer lighting fuses and relays are cavities 24, 28, 31, and 39. The fuse for electric trailer brakes is a 30 amp in cavity 18. There are also two fuses labeled "Trailer Tow Module" in cavities 21 and 48.
There's also a passenger compartment fuse panel located in the cab to the right of the instrument panel. In this panel look at the fuse in cavity 31 for another tralier brakes fuse.
If you're having problems at your factory 7-way and all the fuses check out the issue could be in the wiring or the connector itself. Inspect the connector for any damaged or corroded pins. Also trace the wires for any damage.
If you need to replace either one of them we have the factory connector, part # HM40975, or the replacement wiring harness, part # PK11998. Or if you need both the combined part is # HM40975-11998.
