Troubleshooting SC Error Code on Integrated Brake Controller of 2011 Dodge Ram 3500

Question:
2011 3500 ram brake controller has an SC signal on the face is the controller bad

The SC code displayed on an integrated brake controller of a 2011 Ram 3500 indicates that you have a shorted output circuit on the brake controller wiring. If the code shows all the time then the issue is on the truck side of the wiring. If it's only when a trailer is connected the short is on the trailer wiring. Either way you'll need to trace the output circuit for the trailer brakes to find any cut or exposed wire and fix as needed to get rid of the short.
