Will Installing a Trailer Hitch Void the Warranty on a 2016 Honda CR-V

Question:

Does this void the warranty of the HRV since Honda dealers will not install a hitch because they say this car is not made for towing?

In terms of the warranty, there is a federal law called the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act. The Act states that if something breaks on your vehicle and you take it in for warranty repair, the dealer must honor your warranty unless whatever modifications you have added to your vehicle actually caused the problem in question. If you come at them with that knowledge they may back down.
