Question:
I have a motorcycle trailer with a 4 wire flat plug harness. I want to add side lights and have them blink with the corresponding turn signal. My tow vehicle is a Ford F150. I know I need the multifunction lamps and a converter but Im not sure on how to wire the converter

If you are wanting to install side marker lights on your motorcycle trailer that blink with the turn signal, it will need to be tapped into the turn signal/brake light wire for that side. However, just doing this will also allow the side light to come on with the brake lights. You do not want to attach it to the running light circuit, as this would back feed and force the lights to come on when they should not.
Trailer have combined turn signals and brake lights and the running light circuit is separate. In order to separate out a turn signal from a brake light, you will just need to use a converter like # 118158. You will need to T-into the circuit because you want it to remain combined for the actual tail lights on the trailer. The outputs on the harness will then go to the side lights you want to use as turn signals. You can simply tape up the brake output.
I have attached a short video demonstration on this product along with the installation details that you can check out.
I have also included a link that will take you to our available selection of trailer lights. You can filter through different sizes, colors and functions by using the facets on the left side of the page.

Hello, This may seem like a redundant question however Im attempting the same thing. I have Marker lights I would like to flash with the turn signal and also remain on with the park/marker lights at night. If im reading this correctly this will work for that. I have a 7 blade plug for my truck and trailer but if im right the stop/turn/marker is the same as a 4 wire? Thanks in advance!
