Yes, you can flat tow your 2017 Chevy Colorado with 4-wheel drive (so long as it does not have Adaptive Cruise Control), and we do have all of the parts needed, starting with base plates. For those, due to the hidden look and removable arms they have when you aren't flat towing, I recommend going with the Roadmaster EZ5 Base Plate Kit # RM-523182-5.

For a tow bar, a great option for one that is compatible with those base plates, has long telescoping arms, and a self-aligning design for ease of use, the best option is the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-522.

Then for safety cables that will work with the guides on the Falcon tow bar, the best option is the Roadmaster # RM-645

A wiring kit is also necessary to power the brake lights and turn signals work on your Colorado while it's being towed, and for that you would want the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154, or Magnetic Tow Lights # TL21RK if you do not want to splice into your Colorado's wiring system.

A supplemental braking system is required by most states now, and I recommend checking out the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251.

Keep in mind It will also be necessary for you to disconnect your Colorado's battery when it is being towed, and I recommend using the Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect # RM-766 for that.

I've attached a video of the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # SM99251 on a 2016 GMC Canyon which will be almost identical to your Colorado. If you look at the 14:30 minute mark you will see the connection. Make sure the check valve is installed in the correct orientation or it won't work properly.
