What Is The Tow Capacity Of A 2001 Chevrolet Suburban

Have a 2001 5.3 suburban, with some upgrades!!! Can I tow a 32" trailer home???

The 2001 Chevrolet Suburban has a towing capacity ranging from 5,900 to 8,800 lbs depending on equipped features. You should consult your owner's manual for the exact specification. As long as the mobile home trailer does not exceed your max tow rating, yes you can safely tow the 32' trailer. Depending on how frequently you will be towing the mobile home, I recommend the use of either suspension enhancements or a weight distribution system.
If you will be frequently towing this trailer, I recommend you use a weight distribution system as the trailer will more than likely exceed 50% of your gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR). In order to determine the best weight distribution system for you, you will need to calculate your total tongue weight by adding the tongue weight of your ready to tow trailer in addition to any weight stored behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I have attached our weight distribution and tongue weight help articles for you. The tongue weight(TW) of a trailer is typically 10-15% of the gross trailer weight (GTW). If you can provide me with your total tongue weight, I would be happy to offer my recommendation.
If you do not plan to be towing the trailer for extensive periods of time or on multiple occasion, I recommend the use of suspension enhancements such as the the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancements part # TGMRYS4 for two wheel drive models and part # TGMRG25C for four wheel drive models. The Timbren Springs will act as an elongated bump stop that will engage while under a heavy load to dampen the stress that towing a heavy load will have on the vehicle's suspension.
