Replacing the Hub on an Older Homemade Trailer With Bearing LM11949

Updated 06/15/2017 | Published 06/14/2017

Question:

I'm looking for a replacement idler hub/wheel hub for my homemade boat trailer. Its a fairly old trailer and I purchased it second hand. The spindle diameter is 1.375 inches and goes down to 0.75 inches. I took out the bearing at the 0.75 inch section and the serial code on it shows LM11949. I can't find the serial code for the larger bearing for the 1.375 inch section. I'm looking to replace the entire hub. The spindle is still in good shape, but if need be I would change the spindle as well. Many thanks

The hub assembly we offer with bearing # LM11949 is an agricultural hub, # AH15450ECOMP. This hub is intended for agricultural use, and the outer bearing measurement you mentioned does not match the outer bearing used by this hub and spindle.

This axle uses bearings that are nonstandard, so it may be easier for your to swap out the axle for a new one that uses standard bearings. I've added a link to a list of all our available axles to see if we have one that will work for you.
