I need to know why my accessory power doesn't work on my 07 silverado classic HD trailer hitch. I've installed a brake controller. Now I need lights inside.

I would check the power distribution box under the hood of your 2007 Chevy Silverado Classic. The box is located on the inside of the drivers side fender. Remove the cover, and locate the two auxiliary power posts on the inboard side of the box.
If you have the factory 7-way on your vehicle, the power posts should have wires connected to them that will give you power for the brake controller and power for the 7-way connector at the rear of your vehicle. These power posts will also have fuses located next to them.
The post closest to the rear of the vehicle should have a red wire attached to it. Next to this post in the fuse box, there should be a green 30 amp fuse installed. If the fuse is not installed or is blown, or this red wire is not attached, the brake controller will not get power.
The other post towards the front of the vehicle should have a black wire that is connected. This wire will run to the 7-way connector at the rear of your vehicle and supply the power lead for your 7-way connector. It will have a 40 amp fuse located right next to the post, check to make sure that the fuse is installed and is not blown.
If there is no power wire connected to the front power post you can run a 10 gauge power wire # 10-1-1, from the 7-way connector on the rear of your vehicle to the front power post and make sure you have a 40 amp fuse installed next to the post.
Also, if you are trying to wire the center pole of your 7-way as an auxiliary power connection you can run a 10 gauge wire # 10-1-1, to the vehicles battery through a 40 amp circuit breaker, part # PK54540.
I am including a link to a FAQ page on wiring for a brake controller and 7-way wiring on your 2007 Chevrolet Silverado Classic. This page will show the wiring connections under the hood.
