It sounds like you're looking for the fuse that controls the 12v power to your 7 way connector.
The fuse for the 12v power on a 2007 Chevy Silverado (New Body Style) is located at the front of the power distribution box under the hood of the truck. There will be 2 studs at the front of the box. The fuses locations closest to these two studs power the 7-Way 12 volt circuit and the brake controller. If facing the engine from the front of the truck, the location on the right side should be for the brake controller. I have included a link to an FAQ article that should help; it's about wiring a brake controller but it does apply to this situation since the other stud is designed for the brake controller wire.
