Trailer Hitch with Highest Tongue Weight Rating for 2016 Honda CR-V
Question:
I have just purchased a new 2016 Honda CR-V Touring Model car. Im trying to find out what a standard trailer hitch tongue weight capacity would be? My plan is not to tow a trailer but to install a Scooter/Wheelchair folding rack that is capable of handling hitch/rack/wheelchair approximately weighing 500 total Lbs?

The trailer hitch we offer for your 2016 Honda CR-V that has the highest tongue weight rating is the Draw Tite hitch part # 75742. This hitch has a tongue weight rating of 675 lbs. You would still need to check the owners manual of your vehicle to determine what Honda says is the max tongue weight capacity for your vehicle and be sure to stay under the lowest rated component.
For a folding carrier with a ramp that has a 500 lb capacity the Flint Hill Goods carrier part # FHG69ZR would be a great solution. It has a platform that measures 29 inches by 49 inches too.
