Question:
I have a 56 Shasta with large disc drum- combo brakes. I dont know if these were stock but the are very old and DID work very well, I think the magnet are worn out, My 5 bolt mounts are about 2 1/8 on center from each other. What are yours? I see all kinds of info but not this. Can I make these work?

Helpful Expert Reply:
On 12 x 2 electric brake assembly # AKEBRK-7L-SA the holes are spaced 2-1/8 inches apart on center except for the bottom 2 holes. The bottom 2 are spaced 3 inches apart on center. These brakes could potentially work for you provided that the hub and drum assemblies take standard drum brakes. If not then you would also need to replace the hub/drums. For that I would need to know the inner and outer bearing numbers and the bolt pattern, see link.
If you find the brake assembly will work for you the matching right side is # AKEBRK-7R-SA
