Question:
I have a 2016 GMC 3500hd Denali and getting Montana High Country 375FL 5th wheel, want to use a Trailer Saver BD3, but which rails and other parts do I need to attach the hitch to the truck. From what I understand, the rails have to have the same capacity as my 5th Wheel, roughly 15,200 lbs GVRW. Can anyone point me towards the standard rails with that kind of capacity? Also my truck has the 5th wheel wiring somewhere under the truck, is there a wiring harness I need to install into the bed of the truck?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Trailer Saver BD3 5th wheel trailer hitch fits in industry standard above the bed rails. For your 2016 GMC Sierra 3500 I recommend the Reese custom installation kit # RP50066-58. The custom installation kit requires less drilling and installs in less time compared to universal kits. I have linked a video showing an example installation for you.
The rails will match the capacity of the truck so a trailer weighing 15,200 pounds won't be a problem.
To add a 7-Way trailer connector in the bed of the truck to make hooking up easier I recommend # 41157. I have linked a video showing an example installation for you.
